Award-winning Irish comedian, broadcaster, writer and razor-sharp social commentator.​ Andrew Maxwell is one of the UK’s most distinctive and experienced stand-up comedians, with a career spanning more than three decades. A fearless political comic and brilliant improviser, Andrew combines intelligent, provocative material with an effortless ability to work a room.

2026 sees Andrew continuing to be a major force across live comedy, television and radio, with appearances on QI (BBC Two) and The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4), alongside his extensive live work and touring.

He has also recently performed as a special guest on Jimmy Carrs live dates, adding to a touring career that has taken him from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to some of the world’s biggest comedy festivals and stages
