Sarah Johnson is a warm, engaging and gloriously mischievous comedian whose saucy, raucous storytelling and effortless stage presence have made her a firm favourite with audiences across the UK. Drawing on a lifetime spent both onstage and behind the scenes, Sarah delivers a refreshingly honest take on modern life, marriage, motherhood and middle age – all with a twinkle in her eye and a wicked sense of humour.

 

After studying at Birmingham Old Rep Theatre School and earning a degree in Media, Performing Arts and Arts Management from De Montfort University, Sarah embarked on a successful 22-year career as a stage manager, gaining a wealth of experience and insight into the wonderfully chaotic world of live entertainment.

 

Her comedy roots, however, stretch back even further. For 26 years Sarah worked as a comedy waitress with Spanner In The Works, entertaining guests at corporate events, honing her improvisational skills and masterminding countless hilarious and unexpected escapades along the way.

 

Now performing regularly at clubs and comedy nights nationwide, Sarah combines backstage anecdotes with the realities of family life to create an act that is fearless, frank and irresistibly funny. Whether she’s recounting the trials of parenting, navigating married life or exposing the absurdities of everyday existence, Sarah’s comedy is packed with warmth, authenticity and laugh-out-loud moments.
