Wendy Wason is an acclaimed Scottish comedian, actress and writer with a formidable career spanning stand-up, television, film and theatre.

 

A naturally charismatic live performer and gifted storyteller, Wendy combines sharp observational comedy with warmth, intelligence and the kind of effortless audience connection that comes from years spent on stage.

 

Wendy began her stand-up career in 2004, reaching the final of Funny Women before becoming a semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny? at the Edinburgh Fringe. Since then, she has become a hugely experienced presence on the UK comedy circuit, performing at venues including The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, Just the Tonic and The Stand.

 

She has taken multiple critically acclaimed solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and performed internationally, including appearances at the New York Comedy Festival and on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in the US.

Alongside stand-up, Wendy has an extensive acting career with television credits including Sherlock, The IT Crowd, Coupling, Midsomer Murders, Broken News and After You’ve Gone, and has worked alongside some of the biggest names in British and international film and television.

 

Warm, quick-thinking and exceptionally comfortable in front of a room, Wendy is equally at home performing stand-up, hosting an event or engaging a corporate audience. Her combination of comedy experience, screen pedigree and natural presence makes her an excellent choice for corporate events, awards evenings, private events and live entertainment.

Wendy is currently developing a new live show, with touring plans to be announced, and is the perfect booking for Corporate comedy, Awards and event hosting, Private events, Conference and after-dinner entertainment aswell as mixed bill comedy shows.
